“Taifa Stars needed a second half resilience to beat impressive Mambas from Mozambique 1-0 in a friendly soccer tie at the New Stadium in Dar es Salaam yesterday. Substitute Kigi Makasi finished off Mrisho Ngassa’s cross with only 11 minutes remaining to the final whistle, to keep Stars on the right mood ahead of their crunch Africa Nations Cup championship (CHAN) match against Sudan at the same venue on November 29.”
